Hello There! Below you will read about how our chiropractic clinic is handling COVID-19. If you have landed on this page then chances are you are wondering what we are doing with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. Below you will find an outline of policies and procedures we have implemented to help keep you as safe as possible when you choose to come in for care. The first thing I would like to note is that I am welcoming back those who come in for routine wellness care. Due to the increased rates of vaccinations among my patient base and the state overall, I am more confident that coming in for asymptomatic care should be relatively safe compared to when the pandemic began. Additionally new guidelines from DORA about the mask mandate have been released. Based on their recommendations, I will no longer be requiring masks to be worn in the office for individuals who have been vaccinated. That being said, I will be masking up during visits again, and would encourage even fully vaccinated individuals to do the same. Second, if you do have pain, I would still encourage you to try a telehealth visit first. I am continuing to offer this service as I feel like I can provide effective options for helping you deal with your pain via therapeutic exercise and lifestyle modifications. Both of these measures should help reduce the risk of exposing yourself, and potentially exposing others by staying home. In addition to these measures, I will also be enacting further protective efforts including the following: Screening: Before we go back to the treatment room I will ask you questions about if you have had any COVID-19 like symptoms in the past 72 hours. Additionally I will ask if you have been in contact with someone who has had a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days. If you answer yes to either question, I will ask that you reschedule your visit. I will also take your temperature. If you have a temperature at or above 100°, I will ask that you reschedule your visit, and likely refer you to your primary care physician, especially if you have any other flu-like symptoms. Please pre-screen yourself so I do not have to refuse service to you at my door. Please also rest assured that I will pre-screen myself prior to each business day at the office and will reach out to anyone scheduled to move their appointments on those days and close the clinic if I am not healthy. Cleaning: I will be wiping down commonly contacted surfaces as frequently as possible with disinfectant sprays including door handles, chairs, counter tops, rehab equipment, etc. I will also continue to wash my hands and use sanitizer throughout your visit as always. We have acquired a contactless chip and tap reader for processing payments which should help further reduce exposure during your visit. In addition to the things I am doing, I will also be asking that you do a couple of things to help contain possible contamination when coming in for a visit. First, I would ask if you arrive early for your appointment to wait in your car until it is time for your appointment. This will help further reduce chances of overlapping with another patient, and reduce the amount of things I will need to clean between visits. lastly, I will ask you to use hand sanitizer prior to going back to the treatment room. By taking all of the above measures, I think the risk of you catching COVID-19 by visiting my office will be minimized as much as possible. Thank you for taking time to read through everything, I know it is a lot. I also appreciate your understanding for your cooperation and understanding about all of this. In any case, I hope that you and your loved ones continue to stay safe and healthy. As always if you have any questions or need something that I can help you with do not hesitate to reach out.
