You may be familiar with the traditional “couch stretch” for tight hip flexors. While this stretch can be helpful, it may be too intense, or not address the entire range of motion available to the hip. If you aren’t, then it is definitely worth having in your routine. Click here to learn about it.
This new version of the stretch incorporates some extra rotation in the hip which could address an underlying issue not addressed by the classic one. It should also be a bit less strenuous, allowing you to work into it more deeply with less pain.
